In Caddo District Court

Tarsa Ray Cooley (d.o.b. 9-22-86) will be in court for sentencing for second degree murder. Cooley was found guilty last week by a Caddo Parish jury for the June, 2008 shooting death of Matthew Robert during a failed robbery attempt at a pawn shop in the 8500 block of Linwood. A co-defendant in the case, Tiray Deshean Edwards (d.o.b. 9-13-92) will also be in court for sentencing on a charge of armed robbery--additional penalty. Edwards entered a guilty plea to the charge in February of this year and testified in the Cooley trial.
Gabrielle L. Cooper (d.o.b. 1-29-88) is scheduled for arguments and hearings on a second degree murder charge. Cooper is accused of the June, 2010 stabbing death of SirTerrance Myles during an incident in the 100 block of Dalzell.
