A Caddo Parish grand jury has returned indictments this week, including two for first degree murder. Those indicted, and the charges include:

Prosecutors say a Shreveport man will plead guilty as charged to aggravated battery and hate crimes Thursday in Caddo Parish District Court for a January, 2011 attack on another individual at a night club in the 400 block of Spring St.

There are several cases that 710 KEEL news have reported on in the past, and in keeping our promise to you to stay with these cases, here are ones that we have confirmed are on the docket for Tuesday.

Judge Scott Crichton Eric Dale Mickelson (d.o.b. 3-3-69) is due in court at 9:30 a.m. for sentencing on his conviction of first degree murder in the slaying of Charles Martin. Mickelson was found guilty of first degree murder by a Caddo Parish jury on Aug. 3.

Judge John Mosely Lawrence W. Casey (d.o.b. 9-3-45) will be in court for a preliminary examination on a charge of solicitation for murder. Casey was arrested in June of this year and charged with attempting to hire a person to kill two individuals.

A variety of cases in Caddo District Court today. 38-year-old Keena McCalman will be in court for arguments and hearings on 72 counts of obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. Investigators say McCalman illegally obtained hydrocodone from a number of pharmacies from August 2008 through August 2010...
