St. Patrick's Day is coming up on Monday, March 17th, but you could make a huge difference on the Saturday before... and have a great time doing it!

There are going to be a lot of celebrations coming up the weekend of St. Patrick's Day, and unfortunately, a lot of them are going to revolve around a lot of drinking. Which is really ironic if you actually know the history of St. Patrick.

The Irish have celebrated St. Patrick's Day for over 1,000 years as a religious holiday honoring the patron Saint of Ireland, St. Patrick.  St. Patrick was a Christian missionary who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland in the 5th century.  How we went from that history to drinking green beer and calling cocktails Irish Car Bombs, is mind-boggling.

(By the way, you can look up to see how offensive the name "Irish Car Bomb" is to the actual Irish. But I digress.)
