Erik Rosenstrauch with FUEL Partnerships marketing firm, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about how much Americans spend on their moms on their special day.

Rosenstrauch tells KEEL listeners that Americans' Mother's Day spending habits have changed: "Since 2009, Americans are spending 61% more on moms. 86% of people will buy gifts for their mother and 69% will spend money on flowers, totaling $2.6 billion."

Rosenstrauch adds that, according to a National Retail Federation survey, Mother's Day spending will spend a total of $23.6 billion, with people between the ages of 35 to 44 spending the most, an average of $224.
