LSU is back playing a regular football schedule this year. As you might remember, SEC teams only played other teams in the conference last year. That made for a very rough schedule since the SEC is arguably the toughest conference in the nation. This year LSU has a few cupcakes on the schedule, which is a good thing.

We still don't know for sure who the starting QB will be for the Tigers.

We open the season September 4th on the road at UCLA. The Bruins went 3-4 last year, but all four losses were close games. This should be an easy win for the Tigers. The following Saturday, the Tigers are back home to host McNeese State. That should be another win for the Bayou Bengals. We're also at home on September to host Central Michigan. This game should not pose any trouble for the Tigers. So that means we will be off to a 3-0 start this year. Tiger fans will be getting very excited and have visions of a national title.

But then we move to SEC action. On September 25th, the Tigers travel to Mississippi State. The Bulldogs had a tough 2020 outing finishing up with a 4-7 record. But the Tigers lost to the Bulldogs last year so I really believe we will get revenge this year. That gets the Tigers off to a 4-0 start. I will be pretty fired up about that.

But then trouble comes-a-calling.

The Tigers are at home against Auburn on October 2nd. Auburn went 6-5 last year but they buried LSU last year 48-11. I think this might be the first loss of the year for my beloved Tigers. The following weekend we should get back on the winning track at Kentucky. On October 16 we play host to the Florida Gators. Last year the Tigers won the game by a field goal.

But Florida went on to an 8-2 record and won the SEC East. They lost the championship game to the eventual national champions from Alabama by 6 points. I think the Tigers lose this game too. That puts us at 5-2 for the season. Then we go to Ole Miss where I think we get another win. We then have a week off to rest up for a road trip to Alabama. The Tigers will go into that game with a 6-2 record. I'm not gonna lie. It pains me to say this is not the year the Tigers will beat Bama. I don't even think the game will be competitive.

One week later we are back at home to host the Razorbacks. We will get back on track with a win to pull to 7-3. ULM comes to town on November 20 and that should be an easy victory. An 8-3 Tiger team will then wrap up the year with a win in Tiger Stadium against Texas A&M. So, I really do believe the Tigers should finish the 2021 season with a 9-3 record and a berth in a major bowl game.
