Louisiana Senator John Kennedy will be one of the Senators questioning Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg today when he testifies before a joint Senate Committee.

Analysts say Zuckerberg will address Facebook's privacy policies along with the Cambridge Analytica data mining campaign. Information on 87 million users has been shared.

The Zuckerberg testimony will happen in two phases. Today, he goes before a joint hearing of the Senate Judiciary and Commerce committees. The hearing is slated to start at 1:15 today. The 2nd phase of his testimony happens at 9am on Wednesday.

We already have access to Zuckerberg's prepared remarks. He says "It was my mistake, and I’m sorry," Zuckerberg wrote. "I started Facebook, I run it, and I’m responsible for what happens here."

He also outlines the timeline about how we got to this point with Facebook. He will share that information with Senators.

Facebook is not the only company in the line of fire. Senators Mark Warner and Amy Klobuchar also have questions about Google and Twitter. Letters have gone out to the CEOs of both of those companies urging them to put political advertising restrictions in place.
