WAFB-TV reports the Louisiana Supreme Court ordered that Wednesday's hearing be held after defense lawyers questioned the age of jurors who were summoned. Court administrators say a computer glitch prevented people younger than 26 from being summoned as potential jurors.

Grover Cannon's defense team is asking the presiding judge to toss the current jury pool and start the process over.

Cannon is accused of killing Officer Thomas LaValley, who died while responding to a call about a suspicious person.

Once jurors are selected, they will be transported to Caddo Parish and sequestered there for the trial.
