When I opened my email this morning, I was shocked, to say the least! I know that attitudes are slowly starting to change in Louisiana regarding marijuana use, but I didn't know we had reached this point.

I got a Groupon email this morning with an offer for a discounted online Louisiana medical marijuana card.

Say what? A legal medical marijuana card from Groupon?!?! The times, they are a-changing. Just this week, we published a report regarding a recent survey that was taken here in Louisiana. According to their research, right at 60% of Louisiana's registered voters supported legalizing marijuana, and that's an increase of 22% from a similar survey conducted in 2018. We've come a long way here in Louisiana, but I didn't know we had come THAT far! After all, it was just this year that actually smoking medical marijuana became legal in Louisiana. Since then, we've seen legislators file bills to increase the availability of medical marijuana. We also found out that what is soon to be one of our biggest employers, Amazon, will not be screening employees for marijuana usage, medical or recreational. That certainly raised some eyebrows.

First of all, I didn't even know you could get a medical marijuana card for $199, much less $99. However, one of our co-workers applied online a while back to get their medical marijuana card and they describe the experience here.
