A Georgia man accused of stealing money from a local business, then fleeing out of state, is back in Caddo Parish -- this time, behind bars. The Caddo Sheriff's Office says 49-year-old William Franklin Hill of Atlanta, Georgia, is accused in a check fraud scheme to buy more than $37,000 in gold from Louisiana Gold and Jewelry. He then sold the gold for cash and gambled with the money at local casinos. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center after being picked up by the Caddo Sheriff's Office Warrants Division in Las Vegas. He's charged with felony theft, with bond set at $100,000.
