There's been a string of vacant house fires in Shreveport's Allendale area.

Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Anna Street for an electrical transformer on fire. When they arrived, they found three vacant, single-story wood-framed homes fully involved in fire. It took crews about 35 minutes to bring the flames under control.

The three homes sustained heavy fire damage. No injuries were reported.

Another fire was reported in the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue. The single-story, wood-framed home was found fully engulfed. It only took about 15 minutes to control that fire.

That home was also heavily damaged. Two firefighters did suffer minor burns, but were treated at the scene and returned to duty.

No utilities were connected at any of the four homes, and investigators have labeled them all suspicious. They remain under investigation.
