Four People Hurt in Early-Morning Wreck on Highway 80 in Bossier
A wreck in Bossier City early this morning leaves four people injured.
City spokesman Mark Natale tells KEEL News that it happened just after 1 o'clock on Highway 80 at the Louisiana Downs entrance to I-220 W.
A Chevy Tahoe was headed west on Hwy. 80 when it hit a Toyota Matrix that was leaving the racetrack going north through the intersection. The Tahoe rolled after the crash. The driver, 19-year-old Joshua Santoff of Gloster, suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment.
The Matrix -- being driven by 59-year-old Betty Knight of Gilliam -- had four occupants, two of whom had to be removed with the Jaws of Life. They were all taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers have told police they had a green light when they entered the intersection. Police are still investigating.
