Students in St. Helena Parish have been participating in an experiment, a four day school week.

The children go to school Tuesday through Friday.  It is a longer school day for teachers and students.  The board made the change in an effort to save money on transportation, electricity and food preparation.  But after checking the numbers this year, there has been no significant savings.  So the Board has voted to go back to a 5-day-week.
