Fireworks Go on Sale in Shreveport

It's now legal to buy, sell and discharge fireworks in Shreveport. They went on sale at noon today, but won't go on sale in Bossier City until Thursday.

On both sides of the river, the last day to buy, sell and shoot fireworks is Thursday, July 5th. While it's legal to sell and use fireworks, they can only be shot off between 10am and 10pm.

Police and fire officials in both cities are urging those who are going to use fireworks to do so safely, supervise their children and be sure a water supply is handy.
