We are just over a week away from the election and the candidates and PACs are making last ditch pushes to win your vote. The Governor's race is the one most of us are keeping a close eye on, but there are hotly contested legislative races across the region.

You will find 4 constitutional amendments on the ballot. Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson says he has a problem with #4 because it gives tax breaks to New Orleans but not to other cities in the state. He's not sure that's a good idea.

Jackson also talked about early voting and whether or not it is a good thing for the election process. He also weighs in on online voting, which he says is a bad idea because of the potential for hacking and other illegal activity.

Election day is October 12th, but early voting continues through Saturday, the 5th at your Parish Registrar of Voters office.
