Fair Park PTA Prez Says Closing School ‘An Assassination’

Earnestine Coleman, President of the Fair Park HS PTSA, says that the Caddo School Board's plan to merge that school with Shreveport's BTW High is the equivalent of "an assassination', and that years of the school's being neglected is no accident.

Coleman spoke with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty, voicing her opinion that it has been the intent of the board to close Fair Park since 2002 and that the deterioration of the facility - in all areas - has been "systematic".

She also discussed the possibility of a lawsuit against the parish and the school board to keep the merger from taking place.
