It's an exciting time for baseball fans as a whole, but specifically for Texas Rangers fans. Last year, the team won the World Series for the first time in franchise history. This year, Globe Life Field in Arlington is hosting the 2024 All-Star game and Home Run Derby. The last time the All-Star game came to Texas was way back in 1995. This time around, the event is expected to be bigger and better than ever before.

List of All-Star Events in Texas

The main events during the All-Star break every year is the Home Run Derby & the All-Star game itself. This year's Home Run Derby is looking like it's going to be a fun one featuring up and coming sluggers like Bobby Witt Jr, Gunnar Henderson and José Ramírez. That will take place on July 15th. The traditional All-Star game will happen on July 16th.

However, beside those two main events, there are tons of other events taking place. The HBCU Swingman Classic - which is an All-Star game for players from Historical Black Colleges - will take place on Friday July 12th.

Saturday July 13th will feature two fun events - the MLB Futures game which features the best prospects in the minors facing off and the Celebrity All-Star softball game which is always a blast.

Sunday July 14th will kick off the First Round of the MLB Draft. The opening night of the Draft will take place on Sunday, July 14 at the historic Cowtown Coliseum in the heart of Fort Worth Stockyards and be open to the public. The NFL Draft has been a big deal for years and MLB has rolled that up into their All-Star week celebration, so that's kind of fun and exciting.

Then, of course, there's the Home Run Derby on Monday and the All-Star game on Tuesday. On top of all that, there's the All-Star Village which will feature all sorts of interactive events and fun. How To Watch the All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas

Most of the major events during All-Star week from Arlington, Texas will be broadcasted live. Many will be carried on MLB Network, ESPN or FOX. You can find the full broadcast schedule here.

The game is in Arlington and tickets are available for all the events scheduled. You can buy your tickets through MLB or via any 3rd party website like Seat Geek. However, according to the New York Post, tickets for the game aren't going to be cheap.

The Post is reporting that tickets start out at $216 and range all the way up to $1675. That's for the main game. Tickets are slightly cheaper for the Home Run Derby - those range from $136 to upper $1600s.

No matter how you choose to enjoy the All-Star festivities, this year's event promises to be a blast.
