Erin’s Prediction For The LSU Game

You've heard all the hype and now it's almost game time. Here are my thoughts on the BIG GAME.

We all know about the defenses....the best in the country. I give LSU a slight edge on defense since Tyran Mathieu will be back and I expect he will be fired up. On offense, I am giving the edge to Alabama. They have the the highest 3rd down conversion record in the conference.
To decide who will win the game, you have to look at several intangibles: the crowd noise, turnover ratio, special teams performance and field position. Alabama wins two of these categories: the crowd and field position. LSU wins the other two: turnover ratio and special teams. If one of these assumptions is wrong, the game could change.

As far as coaching, I am giving the edge to Les Miles. The Tigers have the #1 ranking because we have played in more big games this year. Don't get me wrong, Alabama has had some biggies, but there is no doubt the LSU schedule has been tougher. I also like how Les has handled the personnel problems he's had with the teams this year.

So my prediction is LSU 27- Alabama 19
