A public memorial service celebrating the life of Dr. John McDonald will be held at 3pm tomorrow (Thursday, January 5th) at LSU Health Shreveport. His family will receive friends and other guests beforehand at 2pm.

The ceremony will be in the main auditorium of the School of Medicine located on the first floor. An overflow area where people may participate remotely will be nearby in the Donald J Zadeck Conference Center. Immediately following the service will be a reception in the lobby of the Biomedical Research Institute.

Parking will be available on campus as well as in the pay lots on Kings Highway. There will be police officers directing traffic and lots of directional signs. Recognizing the challenges of navigating our busy campus, we ask attendees to try to arrive a little early.

Please enter the facility through the either the Kings Highway School of Medicine entrance or the Biomedical Research Institute's ground floor entrance underneath the arcade. Rest assured that there will be easel signs and people to assist guests in locating the destination.

Additional Information including a biography, obituary and links to other resources can be located at the LSU Health Shreveport website. You can access that by clicking on www.lsuhscshreveport.edu. There is a prominent link on the homepage that will hopefully lead you to the information you are seeking.

For friends wishing to attend the visitation, that will be held at Rose-Neath Marshall Street from 4-7pm today (Wednesday, January 4th.)
