Couple Suspected of Passing Counterfeit Money in Bossier
Bossier Parish Deputies are on the hunt for a man and woman accused of purposely attempting to pass counterfeit money. The pair was spotted using the funny money at 3 different stores in Pierre Bossier Mall.
According to investigators, the couple was making small cash purchases at the mall on January 5th. Detectives say the fake bills did not change color when tested for their authenticity. The iodine pen test causes a discoloration if there is starch in the bills. U.S. paper currency does not contain starch.
Detectives urge anyone that can identify the couple to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 424 4100.
