In determining the least expensive auto insurance options, not only in the state, but across the USA, WalletHub compared 206,974 quotes across 47 states. And it should come as no surprise that when all the metrics are gathered, Louisiana ranks a dismal 43rd nationwide.

But, there is a small ray of hope, as WalletHub has additionally compiled a list of the state's least costly car insurance companies.
