Caddo Commission candidate Chris David talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the recent legal challenge to his District 4 residency, a challenge that was rejected, allowing his candidacy continue.

David, accompanied by attorney Alan Seabaugh, tells KEEL listeners that "I want to reassure the people in District 4 that I do indeed live in that district. I've been there for over a year and I meet all the qualifications to run for the office and I'm thankful that our judicial system upheld the facts."

David says the challenge to his residency was made by his opponents for the commission seat. "John Paul Young," says David, "I believe did it behind the scenes and James Carstensen." David also reiterates that he did not move into District 4 just to seek political office and that the move to the district was brought about by marital separation.

Attorney Seabaugh says the failed suit was "a couple of desperate, weaker candidates trying to knock the stronger candidate out of the race. Seabaugh added that the suit "had absolutely no basis in fact, at all.
