Students, faculty, staff and volunteers from Northwestern State University; the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts; and the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training are joining forces with the City of Natchitoches/Keep Natchitoches Beautiful to help clean Cane River Lake within the city. Faculty and students from NSU's College of Science and Technology, College of Arts and Letters and Louisiana Scholars' College will also take part in the clean-up initiative. The event takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, September 23rd, with a focus on the east and west banks of the lake, within the downtown area. City crews will remove the debris collected from the river.
