Shreveport's Chief Administrative Officer Henry Whitehorn talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his lengthy confirmation process, the city's financial situation in the wake of the Coronavirus quarantine and the recent situation with sick workers at the city's sanitation department.

Whitehorn says his performance as interim CAO was unaffected while he was waiting for the latest city council vote. "I've been through these processes before," the former Police Chief says, "I just kept doing the job I've been asked to do."

Whitehorn adds that his meetings with Mayor Adrian Perkins and Chief Financial Officer Sherricka Fields Jones are weighing every option as they try to solve the problem of the city's coming $25 million monetary shortfall.
