Work detail is an integral part of jail life, and usually a rehabilitation tool that could result in a quicker release for certain convicts. One prisoner took his release into his own hands when he walked off of job.

Caddo Sheriff’s deputies are looking for Joseph W. Hicks, a non-violent offender who walked away from a job while assigned to the Caddo Correctional Transitional Work Program.

Hicks is a 33-year-old white male, 6’1, 160 pounds. He was last seen Monday, August 8, at McClure’s Paint and Body Shop, 11648 Keithville-Springridge Road. He was wearing blue jeans and a navy t-shirt. Hicks was in jail for theft and possession of stolen things.

Anyone with information about his location is asked to contact the Caddo Sheriff’s Office at 675-2170.
