[UPDATE] Video Released of Caddo School Bus Driver Charged with Battery on Student

[Update 2:26 p.m.] Video showing Caddo Parish bus driver Gay Miller verbally reprimanding a young boy who was fighting with another student (who incidentally is Miller's own daughter) has been released. The video is low-quality, making it difficult to determine if Miller, who was subsequently charged with simple battery for the incident, was truly hurting the student. 

In the video, Miller can be seen reaching over and grabbing the young passenger, asking him twice, "Have you lost your mind?" She continued: "I didn't want you on my bus since the beginning."

[Original Story] A local school bus driver has been arrested after allegedly battering a student.

Shreveport police say 37-year-old Gay Miller was issued a misdemeanor summons charging her with one count of simple battery.

Police say a mother reported her 9-year-old son had been involved in a fight with another student while riding a Caddo Parish school bus.

According to statements from the child and his mother, Miller physically accosted the boy. But police saw no visible injuries to him.
