Caddo Sheriff’s Office Livestock Patrol to Hold Silent Auction
A silent auction will be held next week for a horse, sheep, and donkey that were impounded by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office and never reclaimed by their owners.
The auction will begin on Monday, September 18, and end on Friday, September 22. Bids will be accepted between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day but will end at noon on Friday. You can place your bid in person at the Patrol Office at 4910 North Market Street, Shreveport.
For more information, please contact Sgt. Gary Bailey at (318) 464-7920.
The donkey was taken from Pine Hill Road and is said to be very easy to get along with until it needs to be loaded in a trailer. Sgt. Baily said he had some difficulty loading him up. A stubborn donkey. Imagine that.
The sheep was found abandoned on Highway 170 near Vivian along with some other animals on an abandoned property.
The Horse was found loose on Pines Road running amok! They chased the horse for miles before finally catching it.
All of these animals will be available for auction and can go for some VERY cheap prices. These animals have been impounded and cared for at a facility on the grounds of the Caddo Correctional Center.
