Caddo DA Talks Early Stages of Sentence Reform

Caddo Parish District Attorney James Stewart talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the early stages of implementing the judicial reform legislation passed earlier this year.

Stewart also comments on published reports - and on quotes from those in his own office - that the Justice Reinvestment Act is adding a layer of bureaucracy to the judicial system that will burden workers at all levels. The Caddo DA also says that some stories "are not factually based and it scares the public and, in fact, it's not true."
