Caddo Coroner Names Victim Hit by Police Car

A man struck by a Shreveport police cruiser and mortally injured in Cedar Grove early Thursday, June 20, 2024, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Charles Page, 60, of Shreveport, was struck by the police car at the intersection of Line Avenue and East 70th Street. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:02 a.m.

He was positively identified through fingerprint comparison. Investigation into the death continues by the Shreveport Police Department.

An autopsy was ordered.
