Stephen Waguespack, President and CEO of Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, says that even though the state's economy is looking good, Louisiana still has trouble competing with Texas and other state's when it comes to attracting - and keeping - white collar type industries.

"Wags" tells KEEL listeners, that in his experience, it's rare when companies leave the state "because they're looking for a handout." He says that most often, it's because of an inability to "find a qualified workforce at that level" and and that it's difficult to recruit workers to come to Louisiana because of "a quality of life type issue."
