Business Expert Talks State Budget Woes

Stephen Waguespack, President and CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the state's budget problems, possible solutions and how Louisiana's money troubles affects businesses.

Waguespack tells KEEL listeners that business owners across the state are tired of being told that it is up to them, via their tax dollars, to solve Louisiana's real or imagined fiscal troubles.

He also tackles the growing movement calling for a state constitutional convention, saying that he would favor redoing the state's charter, but emphasizes the importance of Louisiana's citizens being involved, or else "the people in power will only make it worse."
