Brand New Bossier Library Opens Today
SHREVEPORT, LA - Big news for Bossier Parish residents. It's been a long time coming, but the new Bossier Parish Central Library opens today in Bossier City. The ribbon cutting ceremony is being held at 10am this morning.
This library has been in the works for more than two years and now this new state of the art facility is opening the doors. It's a new cutting-edge facility that will serve as a hub of knowledge and culture for the residents of the region.
Bossier Parish Director of Libraries, Felesha Sweeney is thrilled about the unique opportunities this new complex will provide for the community.
We are proud our new facility not only offers a vast array of books and other services, but we now have a new creative space for individuals to stretch their imaginations in video and music production, sewing, and 3-D Printing Production.
This 10 million dollar 40,000-square-foot facility will soon feature an expanded interactive History Center. The library will also be scheduling many events to serve youngsters throughout the community.
The library will also continue to host events for the entire community.
This new Bossier Parish Library is located on City Hall Drive in Bossier City.
This big news is just one thing Bossier residents need to know about. There is also a property tax renewal on the ballot on April 27 to continue a 7 mil tax to fund libraries throughout Bossier Parish.
