Bossier’s East Bank District Could Get New $35 Million Development
Bossier's East Bank District could be getting a new hotel, medical facility and office space. Dapper Holdings has offered to buy and develop a 13.7 acre plot of land in Bossier's new East Bank District. The land sits at the corner of Coleman St and Bearkat Dr. near Bossier High School.
The company plans to spend 35 million dollars to build a medical facility, boutique hotel and office space. The development is expected to bring 75 to 100 temporary construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs.
Bossier's CAO Pam Glorioso says that the project would be a win win for the city. "Bossier gets new jobs, gets a new building for downtown Bossier, parking--much needed for downtown Bossier, We can finish construction drawings which are much needed for the Cyber Innovation Park. So, it's a win. It's a very positive project."
The lot has recently been appraised at $1.49 million. The city council will vote on the sale of the land and ordinances related to the development at their next meeting. The land is also partially owned by the Bossier Parish Police Jury and the sale would need to be approved by them as well.
