The City of Bossier will begin a chlorine burn of the water supply on Monday April 17th. Customers may notice their water has a funky smell, is a bit discolored and/or is tastes like chlorine, but officials say the water will be safe to drink. However, they do warn that anyone on kidney dialysis or with kidney issues check with a doctor before drinking the water.

Officials also say homes and businesses could experience minor fluctuations in water pressure.

The burn is expected to take 28 days.
