Bossier Parish teacher Rosemary Grimm wins the award as Best Elementary School Teacher of the Year for the State of Louisiana for 2018. Grimm is an English Language Arts Teacher at Princeton Elementary School

Grimm received her award during the annual awards banquet in Baton Rouge.

The overall Teacher of the Year award goes to Kimberly Eckert who has been a teacher in West Baton Rouge Parish for nine years. She teaches English at Brusly High School.

The Principal of the Year honor goes to Tommy Byler who is the principal at North Vermilion High School in Vermilion Parish.
He's been in education for 26 years.

Marcy Mahler is the winner at the Middle School level. She teaches in Lafourche Parish.
The High School winner is Angelina Drago from Tangipahoa Parish.

The Elementary School Principal of the Year is Cleo Perry Jr from East Baton Rouge.
Bobbye Delaney is the Middle School Principal of the Year. She is from Cameron Parish.
And the High School Principal of the Year is David Gray of Union Parish.
