Feud Over East Bank Management in Bossier Looks to Be Over
Looks like there has been a change of heart by Bossier City leaders on the management of the East Bank District.
There's a proposal on the City Council agenda to enter a new agreement with the Bossier Arts Council to manage the East Bank District.
The ordinance says "the City of Bossier City and the Bossier Arts Council desire to work together to promote and foster cultural and entertainment events at the East Bank District."
This measure will authorized Mayor Tommy Chandler to execute a Joint Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the City of Bossier City and the Bossier Arts Council.
This measure would also provide funding of $50,000 to be paid to the Bossier Arts Council for events management. This measure does require that performance measures and reporting requirements are met as part of this agreement.
This proposal is on the agenda for first reading today. It does have to lay over for 2 weeks before final approval.
