The former CenturyLink Center in Bossier City has a new name.

Earlier this year, we learned that CenturyLink would not be continuing their naming rights agreement with the area's premiere arena. Now, after months of speculation, the arena will have a new name.

At a press conference today, the new name was revealed. Moving forward, the arena will be referred to as Brookshire Grocery Arena.

The agreement for naming rights is with Brookshire Grocery Company, based in Tyler, Texas. The company has over 150 stores, and over 14,000 employees, including multiple stores in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas.

According to the press conference, the agreement will be a 10-year deal for the naming rights, lasting until at least 2030.

Something that will likely be an on-going discussion will be the lack of an "s" on the "Brookshire" in the arena's name. It will not be "Brookshire's Grocery Arena", but rather the "Brookshire Grocery Arena".
