
Bossier City Weekend Safety Checkpoint Results
Results are in from a weekend sobriety checkpoint in Bossier City. Bossier police conducted the checkpoint for four hours, beginning at 11 Friday night, in the 5600 block of Barksdale Boulevard -- and there were no DWI arrests.
There were, however, arrests by citation made. Police say 18-year-old Samuel Fillingim of Coppell, Texas, was arrested for marijuana and paraphernalia possession -- and 20-year-old David Cane, Jr., of Bossier City was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol. Police also issued 14 citations for expired inspection stickers, one for expired license plate and one for no child restraint. Officers checked a total of 327 vehicles during the checkpoint.
