Bossier City Scam Suspect Arrested in Texas
A woman wanted by the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force has been arrested in south Texas.
Detectives obtained arrest warrants last month for 23-year-old Monique Marie Reyna of Corpus Christi on charges of felony theft by fraud and forgery and alerted their Texas counterparts. This week, she was arrested following a traffic stop in Aransas Pass, TX. Arrangements are being made, now, to extradite her to Bossier City.
Reyna is suspected of scamming a Bossier City business out of nearly $6500 in June of this year. Detectives think she's the woman who sold that business more than 500 bogus one-ounce silver bars.
The task force has also obtained an arrest warrant for her suspected accomplice. 40-year-old Rodney L. Kennedy of Livingston, TX is suspected of scamming another Bossier City business out of $4000 in the sale of three bogus 12-ounce gold bars. He's wanted on a charge of felony theft by forgery.
Anyone who knows where Kennedy might be is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100. It could earn you a cash reward and you will remain anonymous.
