A former bookeeper at a Caddo Parish business is arrested for forgery.

Caddo sheriff's detectives say 47-year-old Leland Jamison was employed by Southwestern Packing and Seals from March to December, 2013.

Detective Doug Smith says during that time, Jamison cut three checks payable to himself that were over his payroll amount and deposited them into his personal account. He also made personal deposits of duplicate checks paid to vendors. Total loss to the company was over $28,000.

Jamison was booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
