Bossier City Mayor Marries His College Sweetheart
Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker popped the big question, and she said yes! Bossier Now is reporting that the 85 year old Mayor wed his 83 year old fiancee Connie Westergaard Cash married in an intimate ceremony at First Baptist Church Bossier yesterday afternoon.
The newlyweds actually met over 60 years ago when they were both students at Louisiana Tech, but drifted apart. Fate would have none of that business, as the stars brought the long lost lovers back together again back in 2015. According to the Shreveport Times, the Bossier Mayor planned, arranged, and directed the whole affair. From decorations to vows, Walker made sure everything was perfectly planned and executed right down to inviting a small group of guests to witness the moment.
Lo Walker, AKA the proud groom, says that there are no immediate plans to take his new bride, an artist from Marshall, Texas, on a honeymoon.
