Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the possibility of his entering the governor's race, responding to those inquiries with an adamant "no."

Nungesser tells KEEL listeners that "I'm happy where I'm at. I'm running for reelection." Then Nungesser explains that he'll seek a second term because of a promise he made to supporter, ex-Lt. Governor Jimmy Fitzmorris. "I promised no matter who won (the race) for governor I wouldn't run against them and I wouldn't talk bad about him in public." Nungesser then explains how this relationship with John Bel Edwards has allowed him to do his job promoting state tourism and improving Louisiana's parks and recreation facilities.

Hear Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty weekday mornings from 6 til 9 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL, or by downloading the free KEEL app, presented by Office Furniture Source.
