A Northwestern State University alumna and professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio has received one of nursing's most prestigious research honors. Dr. Kathleen Stevens received the Episteme Award during Sigma Theta Tau International's 41st biennial convention. STTI is the international honor society of nursing. Dr. Stevens will also be inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame this coming July at the society's 23rd International Nursing Research Congress in Australia.
