A Benton man is in jail following an argument with his live-in girlfriend. Bossier Sheriff's Deputies say the couple was arguing, and 41-year-old James Frasier hit his girlfriend of seven years in the face with a closed fist -- while she was holding their one-month-old child. She went to the neighbor's house to get help, but Frasier followed her and hit her again with the back of his hand, causing her to fall and scratch her right leg. Deputies say the girlfriend had a swollen left eye, busted lips and a small laceration on the inside of her mouth. Frasier was charged with domestic abuse battery - child endangerment.
