The state's Wildlife and Fisheries Commission have proposed a number of changes for 2017, which would include new rules affecting deer, duck and turkey and other hunters. Most of the rules changes affect deer hunters in Areas 4 and 10 and the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission says the changes were requested by hunters, themselves.

Steve Graf from the Hook'N Up and Track'N Down radio show tells 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty the specifics of these changes, and outdoorsmen and women can do to let Louisiana officials know what they think about them.

The public will have 60 days to comment on the proposed changes and can be made by contacting Commission biologist Steve Smoth at ssmith@wlf.la.gov.
