On April 29th, 2023, around 10:00 am Shreveport Police Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in the 8900 block of Mansfield Road. During this investigation, David Kelly (6-21-91) was found to be in possession of a firearm that was recently stolen in a burglary.

Further investigation into the matter revealed that Kelly was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses.

The firearm was seized by the officers and Kelly was arrested for one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, one count of illegally possessing a stolen firearm and several traffic violations.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
