Anderson's Produce & Plant Farm's 25th season is underway — and if you've been there, you can see how they're still so successful after so many years.

Nothing beats farm-fresh produce! Their peaches make the best homemade peach ice cream of all time. Take just one bite into one of their peaches, and you'll have juice running down your face.

The Anderson family and their crew have everything picked and waiting for you at their market in Coushatta: zucchini, peppers, onions, potatoes, beans, blackberries, cucumbers, and peaches. This year, they'll host several events to celebrate their 25th anniversary, too, so be sure to watch their Facebook page for details.

My goal this year is to use some of their small cucumbers to make my own pickles.

But you can't forget the real star of the show: tomatoes. When it comes to taste, Anderson's Farm tomatoes are in a league of their own, which is why I love them for making the kind of BLT that will leave your taste buds singing.

Skip the grocery store this week and stop by Anderson's Farm at 110 Anderson Lane, Coushatta, LA 71019, or visit them online at andersonsproduceandplantfarm.com. They are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
