Amazon is on the hunt for a second headquarters. Could Louisiana offer a new home for the online retailer?

Cities and states are being encouraged to make their pitch to Amazon and tell them why their location would be a fitting home for what the retailer is calling HQ2. Amazon says it will be investing over $5 billion and providing up to 50,000 "high-paying jobs."

We expect HQ2 to be a full equal to our Seattle headquarters. Amazon HQ2 will bring billions of dollars in up-front and ongoing investments, and tens of thousands of high-paying jobs. We're excited to find a second home.

CNBC goes on to say that there is no specific location, but rather specific attributes that would be considered when prioritizing bids.

Amazon said it would prioritize bids from metropolitan areas with more than one million people; regions that provide a "stable and business-friendly environment"; urban or suburban locations with the potential to attract and retain strong technical talent; and communities that "think big and creatively when considering locations and real estate options."

It should also be noted that Amazon's investment in their Seattle headquarters has brought an estimated $38 billion to the city's economy between 2010 and 2016. More information on their search for a second headquarters can be found here.

If Amazon to set up shop for their HQ2 in Louisiana, which city do you think would be the best fit?
