5 Year Killed After Being Hit By Car in Shreveport

Shreveport Police are investigating an accident that left a 5 year old boy dead Wednesday afternoon. Officers say the boy was hit by an SUV just after 4:30 pm in the 3800 block of Doris Avenue. The boy reportedly was in the roadway at the time.

The driver, Jimmy Martin, was questioned by police and submitted to toxicological testing, however impairment is not suspected to be a factor. Police, at this point, believe it was just a tragic accident.
