Caddo Sheriff's Office Investigating Man Hit By Train

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a train death that happened outside of Blanchard.

On Tuesday (2/18/25) just after 10am Caddo Deputies say witnesses saw a man walking alongside the train tracks near Trey Way and Puala Kay Place. A train could be seen coming down the tracks the man was walking beside. As the train came closer to the man, he seemed to step right in to the train's path. The person operating the train attempted to stop the train, but couldn't do-so in time. The train struck the man leading to fatal injuries.

CPSO is currently investigating this tragic incident, and the name of the victim has not been released.
