Belinda Roberson, Executive Director of the YWCA of Northwest Louisiana, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the organization's upcoming annual event, The Women Who Care, Share luncheon.

Roberson tells KEEL listeners that the event, coming up Thursday, August 23, at Shreveport's East Ridge Country Club. This year's keynote speaker, she says, "Will be Donna Edwards, the First Lady of Louisiana." Other guests, Roberson says proudly, "will be the three mayors of the three largest in the state." Those three, LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans, Sharon Weston Broome from Baton Rouge and Shreveport's Ollie Tyler. Louisiana, Roberson points out, is the only state in the USA where the three largest cities are run by African-American women.
